 Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing 2nd level electrical controls engineering production support for a highly automated packaging system.
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities for development projects.
  • Develop & implement design of experiment and root cause analysis studies; perform continuous studies, statistical analysis and functional reviews of unit operations.
  • Develop and recommend capability improvements of unit operations.
  • Communicate with production staff, pharmacy management and corporate engineering on development plans.
  • Execute small development projects or components of larger development projects including: scheduling, resource planning, accurate budgeting and performance to specifications under the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Provide day to day management support for the Controls Engineering Team
  • Provide the required training and coaching to the Controls Specialists

Knowledge:

  • Proficient with Allen-Bradley PLC/5 and SLC/500 PLC’s
  • Good knowledge of Allen-Bradley RSView32 SCADA package
  • Proficient with Ethernet, DeviceNet, DH+ and Profibus communication networks.
  • Good knowledge of Variable Speed Drives, Servo Controllers and Robotic Systems.
  • Good knowledge of Visual Basic & C++ programming skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Team Player.

Experience:

  • 5 – 10 years production environment or systems integration
  • BS Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Science or Relevant Technical degree
  • Machine design/engineering experience a plus.
